'Tis the season for some Christmas Trees on cars. I can't help but think of Clark Griswold on Christmas Vacation, when they trek all the way out there and he doesn't have a saw.
This year I am part of the "Christmas Trees on Cars" Blog Hop. Please check out the other amazing projects, because these projects are inspiring and just adorable!
This was something that I really wanted to create for my Christmas Card. My 16 month old just loves to scoot himself around in the Little Tike's cars at the local play gym. I wanted to create a Christmas card with him in the car and add a tree to the top.
So my husband scored a Little Tikes toddler car on Craigslist for $15.00! I wanted a vintage car look, so I opted for Green body, Cocoa Bean top and black wheels and steering wheel. The paint was purchased at Lowe's, Valspar Paint for Plastic ($5.44 a can).

This is my second time running the Santa Barbara Veteran's Half Marathon, my first time was back in 2012. This year was extra special because I was going with my Sister in Law who is also a veteran for the United States Army.

Something about the fall season really gets me in a mood to do some hand embroidery. So this year I completed a fun Fall Wildlife Hoop.

It was this time last year when I was getting ready for the arrival of my first child, my lil' man. We are coming up on his very first birthday and the party planning has been in full swing. I've created these fun party favors for his parties.

Me Made May was started by some talented sewing blogger 's who wanted to show that they could wear something they made each day for the month of May. Well I have never participated but 2015 is a year of new projects, let me show you what I have created for my first Me Made May.

With things being so busy lately, it would seem that doing Friday Five will be every two weeks, I know this stinks but it is rather difficult finding the time to sit at the computer with everything we have had going on. But I am still going to keep it up, please join in the fun with Emmymom2 and her weekly linky party.

The first time I made this I used just blackberries, then I switched it up to just raspberries and now this third time I've thrown all the berries in the bowl. This dish is super easy and so delicious. Perfect for a dessert dish for that Memorial Day picnic or barbecue.

Bear with me, this is two weeks of news, however, it has been an AMAZING two weeks!! So much awesomeness to tell you about. Make sure you join the fun and link up to Emmymom2 for Friday Five.

If you have followed me through my running journey, you know that I have had to start over many times. Persistence is my mantra now. This was my 9th Half Marathon, not my fastest but it didn't matter...it was my First Mother's Day, I was running through the happiest place on Earth and I was doing it with great friends.

This year I really wanted to experience everything that this amazing conference had to offer. Craftcation 2014 I was in the middle of moving into a new house and I was 6 months pregnant so I literally stopped packing boxes, went to a class and then came home to continue packing. This time my husband took days off of work so that he could watch our son, which lead to him leaving to visit his family in Tennessee. Craftcation 2015 then turned into a complete "Staycation" for me and I really had a fabulous time and completely re-energized my creative thinking.

I know I haven't done much project blogging but things have been crazy around here. Trying to catch up with everything, laundry, mail, appointments. It has been chaos so this week is going to be a little bit different because I think I am going to be covering almost three weeks of chaos. Be sure to join the fun with Emmymom2 and her Friday Five Linky Party.

Surprise! I am so late again, but it has been such an eventful week and so much has happened in such a short time that I am actually going to break up the madness into two posts. I attended Craftcation in Ventura, California and a separate posting will happen later this week.
But let's get down to business. You can join along with Emmymom2 and her linky party.

I scored a Betty Crocker Dinner for Two Cookbook, 1964 edition, at the flea market last month. It had some really funny recipes in it such as "Full O'Baloney" and a jellied chicken. Which raises the question as to why these spectacular dishes are not around anymore? (joking)

Last week of February and it is time to get ready for Spring!! Please join EmmyMom2 in sharing 5 thoughts and 5 photos for the week HERE at the Linky Party.
1. This was my first week of serious meal planning. I really avoided it for so long mostly because my husband's work schedule is so unpredictable. Although it went really well, I gave myself room to have a "salad" night and a "left over" night so that when he did have to work late I could use that as a night to not cook. So far so good, will attempt again next week.

Awhile back I attended a Creative Tea Time event. One of the crafts we created was called a "Spooky Spool" where we used vintage images and put them on top of spools. Well for St. Patrick's Day I thought I would recreate these cute spools using March images.

I'd like to share with you my "See My Project" bag, because I'm constantly printing off patterns and putting aside fabrics but when it comes time to working I've misplaced all the supplies.

Sheesh! Another week has past and it was such an eventful one!! Please join the fun of Five thoughts and Five photos at Emmymom2's Linky Party HERE.
1. My parents came for the holiday weekend. It was such a nice visit, it was so relaxed and laid back. Most of the time was spent at home but we did take lil' man to the beach for the very first time because the weather was so gorgeous. He loved the sand and mostly all of the attention.

Groundhog Day was this Monday and I'm not going to lie when I say that we were very sad with the Seattle Seahawk's loss and I didn't get to posting this when I wanted to.
Nevertheless, Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow and predicts six more weeks of winter. So, why not celebrate with making a tote bag for the season?

I love to make pallet signs! The best part about making a pallet sign is procuring the pallet. I am constantly looking for pallets to drag home, and when I found a tiny one behind a Von's supermarket I just needed it! Seriously it is little, a quarter the size of a normal pallet.

Two adorable hoops were created this Valentine's Day. Each created with hearts and lots of love. Lots of stitching because the handy stitching is the easiest to do right now with lil' man.

I made these Valentine holder's last year when I was super pregnant. There wasn't much time to post this blog because it was so close to Valentine's Day, there wasn't much time.
Therefore I thought I would share this post this year in hopes that it may help someone for this year.

It was a wonderful Christmas to close out such a wonderful year. 2014 by far was our best year yet. So many blessings with a beautiful baby boy, a new home and what better way to end the year with a big Christmas with family.
