Christmas Trees on Cars
'Tis the season for some Christmas Trees on cars. I can't help but think of Clark Griswold on Christmas Vacation, when they trek all the way out there and he doesn't have a saw.
This year I am part of the "Christmas Trees on Cars" Blog Hop. Please check out the other amazing projects, because these projects are inspiring and just adorable!
This was something that I really wanted to create for my Christmas Card. My 16 month old just loves to scoot himself around in the Little Tike's cars at the local play gym. I wanted to create a Christmas card with him in the car and add a tree to the top.
So my husband scored a Little Tikes toddler car on Craigslist for $15.00! I wanted a vintage car look, so I opted for Green body, Cocoa Bean top and black wheels and steering wheel. The paint was purchased at Lowe's, Valspar Paint for Plastic ($5.44 a can).

Memorial Day Fresh Berry Cobbler
The first time I made this I used just blackberries, then I switched it up to just raspberries and now this third time I've thrown all the berries in the bowl. This dish is super easy and so delicious. Perfect for a dessert dish for that Memorial Day picnic or barbecue.

This was my 9th Half Marathon, not my fastest but it didn't matter...it was my First Mother's Day, I was running through the happiest place on Earth and I was doing it with great friends.

Craftcation 2015
This year I really wanted to experience everything that this amazing conference had to offer. Craftcation 2014 I was in the middle of moving into a new house and I was 6 months pregnant so I literally stopped packing boxes, went to a class and then came home to continue packing. This time my husband took days off of work so that he could watch our son, which lead to him leaving to visit his family in Tennessee. Craftcation 2015 then turned into a complete "Staycation" for me and I really had a fabulous time and completely re-energized my creative thinking.

Chocolate Cinnamon Coffee Bars
I scored a Betty Crocker Dinner for Two Cookbook, 1964 edition, at the flea market last month. It had some really funny recipes in it such as "Full O'Baloney" and a jellied chicken. Which raises the question as to why these spectacular dishes are not around anymore? (joking)

Friday Five: Baking, Books, and Fast & Furious
Last week of February and it is time to get ready for Spring!! Please join EmmyMom2 in sharing 5 thoughts and 5 photos for the week HERE at the Linky Party.
5 Thoughts:
1. This was my first week of serious meal planning. I really avoided it for so long mostly because my husband's work schedule is so unpredictable. Although it went really well, I gave myself room to have a "salad" night and a "left over" night so that when he did have to work late I could use that as a night to not cook. So far so good, will attempt again next week.

St. Patricks Day Thread Spools Vintage Card Holders
Awhile back I attended a Creative Tea Time event. One of the crafts we created was called a "Spooky Spool" where we used vintage images and put them on top of spools. Well for St. Patrick's Day I thought I would recreate these cute spools using March images.

5 Thoughts:
1. My parents came for the holiday weekend. It was such a nice visit, it was so relaxed and laid back. Most of the time was spent at home but we did take lil' man to the beach for the very first time because the weather was so gorgeous. He loved the sand and mostly all of the attention.

Winter Embroidered Tote Bag
Groundhog Day was this Monday and I'm not going to lie when I say that we were very sad with the Seattle Seahawk's loss and I didn't get to posting this when I wanted to.
Nevertheless, Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow and predicts six more weeks of winter. So, why not celebrate with making a tote bag for the season?

Seattle Seahawk Mini Pallet Sign
I love to make pallet signs! The best part about making a pallet sign is procuring the pallet. I am constantly looking for pallets to drag home, and when I found a tiny one behind a Von's supermarket I just needed it! Seriously it is little, a quarter the size of a normal pallet.
