Groundhog Day was this Monday and I'm not going to lie when I say that we were very sad with the Seattle Seahawk's loss and I didn't get to posting this when I wanted to.
Nevertheless, Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow and predicts six more weeks of winter. So, why not celebrate with making a tote bag for the season?
This bag was made using ChalkBoard Snowman fabric designed by Jennifer Brinley for StudioE Fabrics. The tote bag is 20" inch square with 3"inch gussets.
The Winter embroidery is from Aunt Martha's Four Seasons Embroidery Transfer Pattern Book. This book has so many cute patterns, this is my third project. If you missed my other two: you should check out my Fall Hoop or my Back to School Days.
What I was striving for was a winter theme but not using the classic Christmas colors. Using the dark teal and maroon coupled with the cute fox and owl print on the Chalkboard Snowman Fabric made it whimsical for winter while keeping that festive Christmas spirit.
Let's make these last six weeks look great with a whimsical this Winter tote bag. Please let me know if you have any questions.
