It is that time of year again...back to school. In reality I know that half the nation has already started school but some schools start after Labor Day weekend.
So in celebration I thought I would share this before the holiday weekend began.
I created this banner using pages from a discarded children's book. *Don't worry I wouldn't tear up a perfectly good book, I think that would be like a literary murder EEKS!!
The embroidery pattern is from Aunt Martha's Hot Iron Embroidery Patterns: The Four Seasons #411. You can find it on Amazon HERE. I actually got mine from the brand new Hobby Lobby that just opened in my area.
Seriously the stitching took two nights! I was able to find a sweet matte and frame at the thrift store for $1.00. The frame I painted with Annie Sloan's Chalk Paint in Emperor's Silk.
If you can't make it for this year, at least you have an idea for next year. The "School Days" would also make a great teachers gift!
