Carpinteria Farmer's Market

It was the first Thursday, in a long time,  that we were able to make the Carpinteria Farmer's Market. It was a beautiful, warm summer afternoon and a great time to walk around and sample some fruit.

Pillowcase tote will be in an upcoming blog post!
There was lots of different types of raspberries and lots of veggies. The flowers were vibrant and the strawberries juicy.
I have this habit that I prefer to walk the entire market before beginning to make my purchases.

We walked away with grapes, white raspberries, red raspberries, black berries, and an enormous white orchid. *Which I am praying I won't kill

For dinner we decided to stop at one of our favorite places Corktree Cellars Wine Bar & Bistro. The best part is their Happy hour where you can have a great glass of wine and pair it with there Lobster Mac & Cheese or there wonderful selection of french fries. *My favorite is the Rosemary Parmesan.
We ordered a cheese plate with a cheese called the Purple Haze (France) that was infused with Lavender and a Red Dragon Cheddar (England). For my entree it was Roasted Vegetable Ratatouille that was delicious.

Perfect ending for a perfect day!

If you ever get a chance to visit the area, Carpinteria is one of my favorite spots.
