May Update: Mom comes to Visit, The Getty Villa, Planting Flowers and More

It seems like with all the craziness, after moving and trying to get settled in...we realized that our baby is going to be here a lot faster than we realized. With so much to do, my mom came for a visit while Mr. KofColors left for Chicago so that we could get some baby stuff ready.

My mom has the most beautiful garden. If you haven't seen it yet, check out My Family Visit to Pasco. Since she has such a large and gorgeous garden I like to make her things to add some extra vintage charm. This little stool was a perfect find.

Herb Garden: Potted in a Thrift Store Kitchen Colander

I know that previously I've written that my thumbs are not green. Exact opposite! However this season has been a drastic change, probably because I actually watered.  

This may be a little late for the planting season but nonetheless here is a great way to keep a small herb garden. Plus I wanted to show you that my plants haven't died yet.

I think I have mentioned in previous blog posts that I don't have a green thumb. My goal this summer is to be rid of my "Plant Hospice" status and become a gardener or just have flowers other than mint, rosemary and geraniums (these plants have survived my wrath in the past).

Pallets, they sit in my garage for a fair amount of time. And then one day I go out and just start painting and VIOLA!!!

Green Garden Chair

 Let's just say this was the best five dollars that I have ever spent. 

This chair has been featured once before last fall, Harvest Burlap Chair.  It went from white to brown and now it has become a green garden chair.
