Seattle Seahawks Team Quilt for Everett

I am a die hard Seattle fan, so naturally my son is going to be one too! My first football game was at the Kingdom in the early 1990's and the Seahawks were playing the Denver when John Elway was still playing. Funny, thinking back on it now, we played Denver in the Superbowl.

So having a son, the need to celebrate the Seahawks is huge especially since my team is the World Champs the year that he was born. So naturally I had to make him his very own Seattle Seahawks Quilt.

Five Thoughts:

1. I'm having fun decorating for Christmas. It really is a mess everywhere right now but I have full confidence that it will be pulled together in the end.

Happy Fall Embroidery Hoop Decor

With having Everett my stitching time has just evolved a little bit so rather than sitting at my sewing machine, I've been really working on my hand stitching skills.

Honey Glazed Roasted Chicken, Apples and Onion

We really like chicken around our house probably because I have so many recipes or the fact that I keep the freezer stocked with chicken.

But sometimes I like to get creative and try new things and this time it really worked out great!

Friday 5: Birthday and Baby

I have been really excited about blogging and have completed so many projects to share and Everett is growing like a weed that there are so many things I want to share.

Recently I had Everett's Christmas photos taken by my good friend Emily. She has a great blog Emmy Mom, that I discovered after we had met at a local blog social.

She does this great post every Friday where she shares 5 thoughts and 5 photos from the week. I love this idea so I am going to try it.  This is going to be a challenge but I am really going to put forth the effort to post each Friday.

It's A Boy! Patriotic Birth Announcement Flag

Our baby was going to be due near the fourth of July. So a theme of red, white and blue emerged when it came to his birth announcement. Especially since we were having a boy.

I wanted to greet visitors with a seasonal greeting but the added charm of announcing the birth of our son.

Chicken Sewing Crafts

My mom loves chickens.

So while I was pregnant I worked on a lot of smaller projects. Two of which were "chicken" themed for my mother's kitchen.
