Creative Tea Time Craft Party 2013

This last weekend I was a guest at Creative Tea Time Craft Party. It was a creative tea with amazing women, awesome crafts, unbelievable food and enough creative inspiration to last me for weeks.

But I'm getting ahead of myself.

After knowing that I was attending the event, it said that High Tea would be served and to dress accordingly...

That gave me the opportunity to work on some pattern grading skills that I really wanted to master. So I choose different 1950's dress patterns and started with one dress and that quickly lead to me sewing three more...

Needless to say...I've mastered pattern grading. And I went with option 4 for the event.

I attended the event with my dear friend Melody. We first met at the SoCal Social in 2011. Since then we have remained close craft friends.

It was a beautiful day, the sun was shining and we were so close to the beach, the ocean breeze was refreshing.

Breathtaking is the only way to describe what it was to walk into the party, vintage sheets draped as the tables were set with vintage napkins, table settings and arrangements.

Each place setting had our names with a custom made ring by Cinnamon Sticks Jewelry. There was a pink pastry box full of craft goodies, along with a swag bag that was dangling from each chair.

We were told to arrive hungry and after my long drive I was starved. The breakfast was so delicious!!

At our table was Melody, Bev from Flamingo Toes, Annie from Spiffy Jewelry, Erna from HappinessTransform, and Ana at WeloveCitrus. Such a lovely and talented group of ladies!!

Then the tea was poured and the fun began...

I began my day with creating a snow globe with two adorable deer. Melody made similar one, we sat side by side so our crafts were completed together.
Next was a cute little succulent terrarium. *I have the best of hopes that I can keep mine living.*

Next was my wood sign, honestly I sat for at least 20 minutes trying to come up with a snazzy saying to paint but then just decided on LAUNDRY. Boring...I know but was pleasantly surprised by the outcome. Super CUTE!!!

Moved on to stamped silverware.

Melody is wearing the apron I made for her.
This was so funny because I am all dressed up, wearing stockings, apron & a hat then find myself kneeling on the ground slamming a hammer into a spoon.

I start sweating and I look up to find Bev from Flamingo Toes and just exclaim "I hate to sweat!"

Then sent a photo of the spoon to my mother who asked "Does that say Sex LOVE?"

AH HELL!!!!

Bev from Flamingo Toes created this adorable "Baller" mason jar embroidered on a hoop. It was just so cute, it inspired me to make my own. So as desert was being served (Fresh SCONES and cream!!) I relaxed and just stitched.

As for all the goodies~

You can find a full list of all the sponsors HERE.

Wanting to be an appreciative guest I made our hosts, Leann, Tracy and Meagan, a "tea party" inspired gift.

Next post I will show you how you can create your own.
