This weeks pin is Happy Together's Double Sided Fabric Headband that was pinned to my "Sewing Inspiration" board. This pin was one of many that were pinned for an upcoming race.

Excited, YES!
I have so many pins for this event because I am planning on running as "Tinkerbell" with wings.
What better than to make a "Tinkerbell" headband/sweatband.

I used the pattern and instructions from So Happy Together to make the headband. They are so simple and easy to follow.

Then cutting the fabric, I wanted there to be one  Tinkerbell on each side so I cut out an extra "Tink" and appliqued it on the one side.

Wanting it to be a sweat band, I cut up an old running shirt so that the material would soak up the sweat when I was running. Using two layers of the dri-wick material  for the back side of the headband.

As you can see above, it turned out so cute. The green and purple material are really going to compliment my costume.

So the race is starting at 5:30 a.m. on Sunday morning. Even with sickness and a knee injury I am just hoping to finish and have a good time. Have a "magical" time at the happiest place on earth.

Just because I am so excited, I am giving you a sneak peak of my costume. There will be another blog post following the race.
