Friday 5: Catching up with Cinco De Mayo and Mother's Day

It has been two weeks, I'm late with my posts but sometimes it is just important to be in the moment/life and step away from some of the smaller responsibilities. I'll do my best to catch up on two weeks.

Boys have spent lots of time playing and Dad built Everett his very own train table so that little brother can't tear apart his track. (He drilled the track to the table so it wouldn't move). We also visited the farm for a birthday party and Miles was able to ride the mini train by himself.

We have a family tradition where we go and have sushi for Cinco De Mayo. The boys have so much fun with the chop sticks, Miles really was able to enjoy the cuisine this year.

Miles is turning into a real "Foodie" because he was really enjoying some ice cream from Baskin Robbins too!

Everett has been busy. He was really good for a recent trip so as a reward we waited to see the Amtrak train go by. But he was so excited to be sitting in the front of the car while we waited playing with all the buttons and windshield wipers. Everyone in the parking lot could hear our car volume go up and down playing Moana soundtrack. By the time the train came he was ready for his driver's permit.

I had an amazing Mother's Day this year. Beyond blessed with both my boys. They keep me busy, on my toes and constantly moving. If I had a dollar for every time someone told me "Boy, you have your hands full..." I would be able to buy myself something really nice.

We started a summer running series this last week. The proof was in the pudding in how much I move because I wasn't slow, even with pushing both boys in a parachute of a stroller. We go again next week so I hope to improve my time (5k distance).

In sad news, we lost our great grandfather Doris this past week. He will be greatly missed but we are thankful for the time that we were able to spend with him. He had such a long, beautiful life that will be celebrated and remembered.

Hopefully I will be on time next week.
