Perfect for the beginning quilter!

Discovered this cute "Simple Little Runner" by Camille Roskelley at the Modabakeshop.com. It is pinned to my Quilt pinboard. I attempted my own version of the pattern 

with a purchased smaller charm pack from Riley Blake Designs. It was from her Fly a Kite October Afternoon collection. 

This project was started when my mom came and took care of me after surgery in February. 

 She was trying to get me motivated to do small projects. I was clearly distracted by the smell of her delicious chocolate chip cookies. YUM!!

When I was little and our school would have bake sales, my brother and I would only buy my mom's cookies. They are THAT good. 

I used plain white cotton strips to separate each squared section. 

Then added very large white ric rac trim. 

With coordinating fabric for backing and binding. It adds some "Spring" charm to my coffee table in my living room.
