OWL Always Love You Valentine's Day Gift

My best friend Amy started decorating for Valentine's Day days after the New Year. Why not? Valentine's decorations were on store shelves before Christmas. Anyways, she had these two adorable owls on her decorated table. I just loved them.

Owls from my best friend Amy.
And Amy being one of my best friends got me a set. She is the greatest! And they are the cutest owls ever! Well this got me inspired to make her a gift with an "Owl" theme for Valentine's Day.

It started with these adorable labels called "Critter Love" by InkTreePress. The Owl label was too cute, so what better than for it to be on the top of a jar of Salt Scrub.

 For the Salt Scrub:
Cucumber and Melon Essential Oil
3 1/2 cups of Epsom Salt
1 cup Avocado Oil
Small Jars
Ribbon and/or Ric Rac
Wood Spoons
Valentine's Day Labels "Critter Love" by InkTreePress

Put Epsom salt in a bowl. Mix with avocado oil until saturated. Sent with essential oil (30+ Drops)
Then divide the salt into jars, one batch filled four small jars.
If you are going to wash your hands with great smelling salt scrub, what a great addition but a matching towel?
I drew the Owl to the best of my ability and cut it into pieces to create my own Owl pattern. After I completed this project I found an owl pattern from Emily Ward at Rubber Punkin HERE

I appliqued each of the pieces onto the towel. Added black buttons for the eyes, then coordinating red trim and pink ric rac at the bottom.

Then using ribbon, even more ric rac and my glue gun, I added trim around the jar. Then stamped "Happy Valentine's Day" onto the wood spoon.

With salt scrub and a dish towel, I couldn't resist the dark chocolate brownie mix and red spatula. *Because who doesn't love a new cooking utensil.

 "Sweets for my Sweet"
I hope Amy enjoys this gift set that I have put together for her. She is one of my dearest friends and so thoughtful. But I hope this inspires you to make something for your friend. Maybe some salt scrub or even just a pan of brownies? I would love to hear from you if you make any of these items.
