SoCal Social 2012

 Can't tell you how excited I was to attend the SoCal Social for a second year in a row! It was so much fun the previous year that I couldn't wait for it again. 

It takes place in Orange, California. Southern California bloggers meet, then do a swag/shopping walk with friends, new & old. My friends from last year, Melody from Melody Nunez, Alma from   Created by Soul, and a new friend Oksana from Oksana+Hobbies.

Lots and Lots of fun walking around. So many things to see and take in. Some of my favorites included the festive displays at Down Home Antiques, the delicious snack from Paris in a Cup, and seeing the art at The Gallery On Glassell.

Creative inspiration OVERLOAD!!

I did make some purchases, a cute green vintage sweater, vintage Christmas table cloth and a half a dozen Parisian Macarons. We did get some amazing goodies throughout our swag walk, I can't name one as my favorite. 

The evening ended with a fantastic dinner at Avila's El Ranchito Restaurant. Best service I have ever had at an event of this size. Started with some great chips and salsa, moved to a delicious dinner and finished with some dainty desserts and coffee. Also had entertainment with guest speaker Mark Montano, author of Big Ass Books of Crafts. He was so generous by giving all of us his newest book The Big Ass Book of Bling.  

Did I mention the second HUGE BAG OF SWAG!!

Amazing isn't it...couldn't wait to get home and spread all this good stuff on the floor and relish in the creative possibilities. Favorites would have to be the fabric from Mountain of the Dragon and the Krylon spray paint.

And I ended my weekend with a trip to the spa with a smaller group of blogging ladies. No head shots here...we are in relax mode.
