Easy as "Layer Cake" Queen Quilt

Pieced before being quilted.
I love to sew...EVERYTHING! So when the quilting bug starts to bite I just love to use precuts. Instantly I fell in love with "Farmyard" by Sentimental Studios for Moda Fabrics. I purchased this amazing layer cake from The Knotted Bobbin, where you can find a great selection of precuts at amazing prices.

Konda Luckau from "Moose on the Porch Quilts" has designed this beautiful Quick Queen Quilt called "Easy as Cake" an Moda Bakeshop original recipe.

This is one of the fastest quilts that I have ever put together. It works great for prints that you really want to show off.  "Farmyard" has lots of fall colors but what makes it cute is the small details of the chickens, pitchforks and barns. Coordinating red was used for the binding and cream for the backing. I sent my quilt to The Quilting House in Thompson Falls, Montana where they always do a beautiful job when finishing my quilts.
