Patriotic Party Favor Bags: Celebrating Birthday's or 4th of July

It was this time last year when I was getting ready for the arrival of my first child, my lil' man. We are coming up on his very first birthday and the party planning has been in full swing. I've created these fun party favors for his parties.

With it being such a big celebration, my lil'man is actually having two birthday parties. One at Grandma and Grandpa's where we are celebrating with family and another one at home with friends and family. Since he was born on July 2nd which is so close to the 4th of July, we decided on a Americana Baseball Theme.

So I wanted to create something fun to thank guests for coming and favors to take home that were retro and great for all ages. What I came up with was:
*Double Bubble Bubble Gum
*Glow Stick Bracelets
*Tiny Pinball games
*Bubbles
*Patriotic Straws
*Various small candy

Roughly had to put together near 50 bags and I didn't order enough of the colored bags that initially wanted to use. So had to get creative and used brown paper lunch bags. The bottoms were cut off and then stitched with red, white and blue thread and fun festive stitches to create a new bottom.

Then I used a rubber stamp of a baseball to stamp onto the paper bag.  Each bag was filled with goodies, stapled close then secured with some festive washi tape.

On the outside I attached a retro bingo card with either a small clothes pin or a red/blue paper clip. Using photo shop I added some text to a photo of lil' man with a thank you greeting. Costco will print wallet sized photos that fit perfectly on the bingo card. The photo is attached with patriotic washi tape.

These were so easy and fast to create. You can find a lot of these supplies at the dollar store so the cost of creating them is rather low.   The favor bags are organized in vintage soda crates to give it that fun retro patriotic look.

More party goodness will follow up. We are so excited to be celebrating his First Birthday!! We are so blessed to have him in our lives and I am so lucky to be his mom.
